Hey Citizens of Shoegaze Wonderland.
It's time again to bring you some sweet noise from all over the world.
Feel free to close your eyes, dance or start a riot while listening to all this lovely tunes I found on the internet or that were kindly brought to me by amazing people.

First I want to start with Pastel Blue. 'A band of the past' how declared on their bandcamp page. You'll find some very sweet demo takes of this japanese dream pop lovers there. You definitely hear the strong influence of slowdive on all of them. Japan really have some frekin' cool shoegaze to give. 
Next Band I wanna tell you about are Roku Music from Brisbane / Australia. Their new track Collider comes with some dreamy vocals over nice shoegaze guitars and minimalistic drums. Really great.
Then there are Winkie from Brooklyn, New York. This experimental duo got me with their innovative destroyed sounds. When you are in love with crazy synthie sounds and shoegaze influenced songs you will immediately fall for this awesome band. 
I already told you about Crisis Arm. Their 'new' album 'fetch' from december last year is for 'name your price' on bandcamp and of course worth all your money you are willing to give for 8 songs of awesomeness. I'm totally sure we would become really good friends as they say they love cats, tapes and vinyl. :)
In June Crisis Arm are playing 3 shows in California. Check them out on the bands fb-page I linked on their name.
Not to forget: DEAD with their new 4-piece-EP. Like always it's a mixture of expermiental cold-wave sounds and noise-attacks. Perfect.
At the end Bleak Boys from Mexico bring you some Indie-Rock influenced Noise Pop. Love Love Love. Check them out!

Girls Girls Girls

Today's International Women's Day - the perfect day to remind you people out there how many great female musicians were involved in great shoegaze, noise pop etc. projects from when the shit started on til today.
I always wanted to be one of them and show the world that it's not your gender making you a great musician, but talent and effort.

As I'm a real fucking Riot Grrrl (also tattood on my feet!), I want to encourage girls to take a fucking guitar or some drumsticks and just start playing. Just have fun and be loud. Give a fuck about what people say and just be yourself. You're great the way you are and everyone telling something different is a dumb-ass liar!

So first step:
Most of the musicians who influenced me when I was a little girl and made me want to be a rockstar were women. The next photos show the most important ones for me. Don't care if they are shoegaze or not. NOIZE!!

One thing making me really happy the last years is, that more and more women start founding bands and create some really great music. Some of the next ones I show you are already more popular then others, but they are all great and worth to check out. JAGUWAR Jaguar EP Teaser.

I'm so happy to announce that the release date of my band's EP will be the 05 - 03 - 2013.

VVHILE - Vanity 7" debut EP

"VVhile delivers pop driven songs fueled with 80s punk rock energy colored with noise and shoegazing attitude."
That's something I can work with!
VVHILE are "your favorite rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriot boys"?! I'm not sure about this one.
Let's check the two boys out.
VVHILE are Stevan Ćirović and Andrija Spičanović. They are from Belgrad / Serbia and formed in May 2011. They like sugar and chocolat. This doesn't sound really riot boyish to me. But to not be rude I will give 'em a chance.

VVHILE released their debut EP "Vanity" in May 2012. All Songs were recorded at the boy's rehersal space and mixed and mastered by Marko Ilic. The EP is released in limited edition of 100 black and 100 white vinyls (I LOVE VINYL!!!) by: Napravi Zaedno, Twin Toe & Jazz Chairs ( the bands own record label). It will be repressed and released by Called Dirt Cult Records in February/March 2013. It contains 4 Songs. Popsongs? We'll see.

The first song is not only giving the EP it's name but also says: "everything is overcontrolled". Nice punk rock drums, noisy guitars and lovely lo-fi voices make you dream about the years when everything was forbidden and done anyhow.
Definitely the right decision to put this song at the beginning. It reaches for your hand to invite you without getting annoying.
I was blown away by "Fecal Gaze". It's the last song on the EP and shows that's sometimes less can be more. The only shortcoming to me is that it releases the listener with an open end. It's like when you're reading a book, for example a detective story, and they don't tell you who the murderer is. You just don't get rid of the feeling that there's something you're missing. But maybe the next release will continue the story. I'm curios.
"Marriage Riots" shows cool noise rock paired with post-hardcore influences. I like the song because it goes straight forward. But I miss some innovative aspects in sound and songwriting to make it more special and not just a poor copy of any noise rock song.
To me "Worldending Curse" lacks the right hookline to make it a real popsong. Nevertheless it has an attitude that fits into the whole concept.

Alltogether: Great Neo Noise Pop with garage charme and a lot of potential. Please don*t destroy your own popsongs like No Age does.

I hope I'll get the opportunity to see VVHILE live someday.

Hey Boys and Grrrls!
Finally I became a blogger-girl.WTF?
Let me introduce myself.I'm Oyèmi Noize - a musician, a Riot Grrrl and a Dj*ane. Currently I'm living in Dresden / Germany in a flat together with my room mate and my 2 adorable rats named Wendy and Alice.
My whole life is about music. I'm a stage bitch and play the bass at the Shoegaze band JAGUWAR and the guitar at a Riot Grrrl - Noise Pop band called poor little rich girl.
I'm also a part of the DJ* - Community Cozy Core Club.
In all of my projects I'm supported by my fabulous soulmate and rockstar boyfriend Lemmy Noize. We're palnning to move to Berlin next year but only for a stopover before we move to fucking London to become rich and famous. hahaha.
I will use this blog to share my life with you guys - the world. So let's start right now.
